New York, United States, March 2025 – Vérane de Marffy has taken on a new role as Chief Marketing Officer, USA at William Grant & Sons, a move that brings her extensive brand-building experience to the premium spirits industry. In her new role, she will spearhead marketing strategy, brand innovation, and growth across the U.S. market for the company’s celebrated portfolio, which includes Glenfiddich, The Balvenie, and Hendrick’s Gin.
Before joining William Grant & Sons, Vérane served at L’Oréal for over 22 years, most recently as Global Deputy General Manager for Ralph Lauren Fragrances, where she was responsible for the brand’s global expansion and strategic positioning. Prior to this, she held the position of General Manager for Lifestyle and Collection Fragrances, leading multiple luxury fragrance brands including Maison Margiela and Atelier Cologne.

Earlier in her L’Oréal tenure, she was Senior Vice President of Marketing at Lancôme USA and Senior Vice President of Marketing for YSL Beauté, playing pivotal roles in reimagining the U.S. presence of both brands. She also held several leadership roles in the development and marketing of Lancôme and YSL products over the years, demonstrating consistent performance in brand strategy and team leadership.
She began her L’Oréal journey in the early 2000s, taking on roles such as Global Marketing Director for Ralph Lauren Fragrances and Global Manager for Maybelline, building category growth in lip, nail, and face segments. Her background also includes early experience as an Event Consultant and key operational roles at Waldorf Astoria New York, further enriching her perspective on consumer engagement.
Vérane holds a Master’s degree in Marketing & Market Research from Sciences Po, Paris. Her strategic acumen, global luxury market expertise, and deep passion for storytelling make her an excellent fit to lead marketing for William Grant & Sons in the U.S. market.
