Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 — Vibha Thorbole has been appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at SM Polymers, where she will oversee the company’s human resources strategy, people management practices, and organizational development. In her new role, she will lead initiatives to align HR functions with business goals, enhance employee engagement, and build talent pipelines to support the company’s growth in manufacturing and industrial solutions.
Thorbole brings with her over two decades of experience in human resources, spanning diverse industries such as manufacturing, engineering, EPC, oil & gas, and environmental solutions. Prior to joining SM Polymers, she was Senior Human Resources Manager at Evercool Aircon, where she managed both strategic and operational HR functions. Her portfolio included talent acquisition, onboarding, policy development, compensation management, and employee development programs. She played a key role in shaping the HR framework and building sustainable people practices across the organization.
Earlier, she worked at Synergy Engineering & Environment Solutions as HR & Administration Manager, where she led HR policy design, recruitment strategy, payroll management, and attrition control. During her tenure, she developed comprehensive HR systems and introduced initiatives to strengthen organizational culture, ensuring compliance while maintaining high levels of employee engagement.
Her career also includes roles at Kidde India Limited, where she served as Assistant Manager (HR), independently managing recruitment activities, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives. She was responsible for implementing referral schemes and designing training modules to boost organizational capability. Before that, she gained foundational HR experience with Sandwell India Consulting Engineers, Soham Constructions Pvt Ltd, and Gurukul India.com, where she built expertise in recruitment, payroll, and HR operations.
Thorbole began her career as Administrative Executive at Anukool Sales & Services, laying the groundwork for her HR journey. Over the years, she has consistently demonstrated her ability to combine operational excellence with a strategic mindset, ensuring that HR functions serve as enablers of growth. Her appointment at SM Polymers is expected to strengthen the company’s human capital agenda as it expands its leadership in chlorine handling solutions and water chlorination systems.
