Vibhu Sharma Appointed Vice President – Quality Operations & NPD at Usha International

Gurugram, Haryana, India, August 2026 — Usha International has appointed Vibhu Sharma as Vice President – Quality Operations & New Product Development (NPD), reinforcing its leadership team as the company continues to strengthen innovation, product excellence, and operational quality across its lighting business. In his new role, Vibhu will lead quality operations, new product development, and strategic initiatives to drive product innovation, operational efficiency, and customer-centric growth.

With over 20 years of experience across product management, sales, marketing, quality, operations, lighting solutions, and business strategy, Vibhu Sharma brings extensive expertise in launching premium brands, driving product innovation, developing go-to-market strategies, and building high-performing businesses in the lighting and consumer durables sectors.

Prior to joining Usha International in his new leadership role, Vibhu served at d.light India, where he was Senior Director – Sales & Marketing Leader, following his tenure as Director – Marketing Leader. During his three-and-a-half-year stint, he led strategic sales and marketing initiatives for the global social enterprise, expanding market presence across multiple geographies while supporting the company’s mission of making affordable and transformative energy solutions accessible to underserved communities.

Earlier, Vibhu spent more than six years with Indiabulls LED as Product Head, where he played a pivotal role as a founding leadership team member in establishing the company’s LED lighting business. He successfully launched the IbLED brand, introduced over 1,000 SKUs, developed comprehensive go-to-market strategies, implemented SAP and CRM-driven business processes, introduced an exclusive customer loyalty program, and led multiple award-winning product launches recognized for innovation at ACETECH and GREEN BUILD.

Before that, Vibhu was associated with Usha International as National Product Manager – Home Designer Lighting Business, where he was a founding member of the leadership team responsible for launching the premium lighting brand TISVA. His earlier career also includes leadership positions with Regent Lighting, Armstrong World Industries, and Wipro Limited (Lighting Division), along with international consulting assignments at Nexor and Balfour Beatty Rail, giving him broad expertise in product development, sales leadership, strategic marketing, business transformation, and lighting solutions.
