Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, November 2025 – Vijay Krishna Kumar has begun a significant new chapter in his professional journey as he takes on the role of Senior Divisional Manager at Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Company Private Limited. With more than two decades of multi-domain leadership experience in the Indian Army, he brings deep expertise in human resources development, capability building, governance, security operations and organisational effectiveness to India’s leading construction machinery manufacturer.
In his most recent assignment as Joint Director Training in the Indian Army, he led human resources development and capability-building programs for large and diverse teams. During this period, he designed scalable HR frameworks, built competency-based training systems, automated learning assessments, mentored more than 650 professionals and integrated data-driven performance review mechanisms that strengthened organisational readiness and culture.
Before that, he served as Joint Director Administration, where he directed large-scale administrative operations, facilities management and compliance governance across multi-location environments. His leadership spanned end-to-end facilities oversight, multi-crore budget governance, sustainability programs, logistics optimisation, vendor management and welfare initiatives—all executed with precision, transparency and high ethical standards.
Earlier, he held the role of Head of Security, where he was responsible for enterprise-level security leadership, risk governance and crisis management for high-value national assets. He built resilient security systems, introduced digital surveillance technologies, coordinated with national security agencies and ensured uninterrupted operations during critical events, including major conferences and high-stake missions. His work strengthened safety, morale and continuity across demanding operational landscapes.
In the first half of his distinguished career, Vijay contributed significantly in roles such as Training Consultant, Joint Director of Operations and Team Lead Manager. These experiences built his foundation in strategic leadership, operational excellence, capability development, people systems integration, contingency planning and multi-functional team command. His early years saw him manage teams of over 120 personnel, oversee assets worth ₹80 crore, conduct performance audits, run large-scale logistics operations and deliver consistent results under varied and high-pressure conditions.
