Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 – Vijayakumar P. R. Nair has been appointed as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Vishvaraj Environment, a leading ESG-focused water utility company. With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Mr. Nair brings deep experience in operational leadership, strategic execution, and infrastructure delivery across India, the Middle East, the UK, and the Balkans. His global perspective and operational excellence are expected to further accelerate Vishvaraj’s mission of Responsible Revolutions in water sustainability and environmental infrastructure.
Before joining Vishvaraj Environment, Vijayakumar P. R. Nair served as Executive Vice President and Chief of Operations at Tata Projects, one of India’s premier EPC companies. In this capacity, he led large-scale project operations, emphasizing timely delivery, quality assurance, and operational efficiency. His leadership was pivotal in standardizing project execution, optimizing resource allocation, and embedding continuous improvement across engineering, design, and safety functions.
Previously, he was Senior Vice President at Shapoorji Pallonji Engineering & Construction, where he led corporate-level planning, procurement, and contract administration for major infrastructure projects. His work involved managing key stakeholder relationships, developing best-in-class construction methodologies, and overseeing contractual and commercial strategy for complex builds.
Mr. Nair also held the role of Project Controls Manager at Consolidated Contractors Group (CCC), an international construction giant. Here, he managed cross-functional project operations covering contracts, engineering, cost control, planning, and IT across regions. His expertise in vendor negotiation, budget optimization, and execution planning was critical to CCC’s successful project deliveries.
Earlier in his career, he served in planning and leadership roles across Al Ahmadiah Contracting, Group Five Construction (Al Naboodah Group), Balfour Beatty UK, A.A. Nass Contracting (Bahrain), Galfar Brunei, and Godrej Properties, building a rich foundation in infrastructure, procurement, civil engineering, and project controls.
He is an alumnus of Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, having completed a Senior Management Program, and holds an MBA in Construction and Infrastructure Management from Jaipur National University.
