Bringing over 26 years of experience in the banking and financial services industry, Mr. Modi is set to drive HR transformation, foster an inclusive workplace culture, and advance leadership development initiatives to support the bank’s growth ambitions.
Vikash Modi’s remarkable career spans across leading financial institutions. Most recently, he served as HR Head – Wholesale Banking, Tech, Ops & Corporate Functions at YES BANK, where he was instrumental in streamlining HR strategies for critical business units. Prior to this, he held the role of HR Head – Retail Banking at the same organization, driving people-centric systems and processes for over 75% of the bank’s workforce.
Before his tenure at YES BANK, Mr. Modi served as Head – Human Resources at Tata Motors Finance, where he focused on capacity building and cost optimization. Earlier, at HDFC Bank, he held leadership roles, including Vice President (HR) and Deputy Vice President (HR), contributing significantly to recruitment, employee retention, and the integration of merged entities.
His foundational years in HR were shaped at Bank of Baroda and Union Bank of India, where he gained experience in employee relations, statutory compliance, and HR operations.
