Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 — Vivek Waingankar has been elevated to the role of Director – Technical (NPD / Quality / Regulatory) at Bakels India, furthering his journey of driving product innovation, quality assurance, and regulatory excellence in the bakery ingredients industry. In this strategic leadership position, Vivek will continue to lead R&D, quality, and regulatory functions, focusing on enhancing technical capabilities and delivering superior value to customers.
Vivek has been an integral part of Bakels India since May 2023, having previously served as Technical Head (R&D / Quality / Regulatory). Over the past two years, he has played a pivotal role in strengthening the organization’s product development initiatives and aligning technical strategies with evolving market demands. His contribution has been instrumental in ensuring regulatory compliance and reinforcing Bakels’ commitment to quality across its offerings.
Prior to joining Bakels India, Vivek served as Head – R&D / Quality (GM) at Allana Consumer Products Pvt. Ltd. (ACPPL / IFFCO), where he led innovation across categories including bakery essentials, culinary oils, beverages, and frozen products. He also held leadership roles at CALPRO Specialities Pvt Ltd., Future Consumer Ltd., and Doehler India Pvt Ltd., where he was responsible for building R&D infrastructure, setting up pilot plants, and launching various industry-leading formulations.
Earlier in his career, Vivek contributed significantly to product development and quality systems at organizations such as Tropilite Foods, Godfrey Phillips India, and Vista Processed Foods. His technical expertise spans bakery premixes, stabilizers, confectionery, sauces, and HoReCa solutions, with proven success in commercializing multiple products for Indian and global markets.
