Charu Sharma Appointed as Vice President – International Business Development at AboitizPower

Singapore, February 2026 — AboitizPower has appointed Charu Sharma as Vice President – International Business Development, based in Singapore. In this role, she will lead AboitizPower’s expansion into select international markets, working closely with partners, investors, and platform operators to build scalable opportunities across the energy sector.

Charu will help drive the company’s outward growth strategy, focusing on markets with strong fundamentals and long-term growth pathways, with India and other priority APAC regions emerging as key areas of interest. Her mandate aligns with AboitizPower’s long-term, value-driven investment philosophy and its strong operating track record in the Philippines.

In her new role as Vice President – International Business Development at AboitizPower, Charu Sharma will spearhead international growth initiatives and strategic partnerships, supporting the company’s ambition to expand its energy footprint beyond the Philippines.

Prior to joining AboitizPower, she served as Head of M&A, International Business at Jinko Power Technology Co., Ltd., where she led cross-border investment and expansion initiatives from Singapore, focusing on identifying and executing international energy opportunities.

Earlier, Charu spent nearly six years at Sembcorp India, progressing through senior leadership roles including Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Senior Manager. During this period, she contributed to large-scale energy projects and strategic development initiatives in the Indian market.

Before Sembcorp, she worked with Amplus Solar in managerial roles, strengthening her expertise in renewable energy development and commercial strategy. She also held roles at ACME Cleantech Solution Private Limited, Siemens Power Engineering P Limited, SIMON INDIA LTD, and KEC International Ltd., building a strong technical and operational foundation early in her career.

Charu holds an MBA in Finance, Strategy & Leadership from the Indian School of Business, further strengthening her expertise in strategic investment and international business development.
