In this role, Pence will lead the organization’s people strategy, culture transformation, leadership capability building, and talentd talent processes as True Rx continues to strengthen its impact-driven model in employer healthcare and pharmacy benefits.
With deep expertise across talent management, leadership development, workforce planning, and cultural transformation, Wendi Pence brings a strong track record of building scalable people systems and elevating employee experience in multi-site organizations.
Prior to joining True Rx Health Strategists, Wendi Pence spent close to four years with Post Consumer Brands, where she served as Head (VP) of Talent Management. In this capacity, she led the people strategy for nearly 2,000 employees across 10 sites in the U.S. and Canada, operating as the highest-ranking HR executive and driving large-scale cultural transformation. Her scope included executive coaching, leadership development, recruiting and hiring strategy, succession planning, and continuous performance management aligned with enterprise objectives. During her tenure, she helped implement a company-wide talent strategy supporting measurable improvements in retention and leadership pipeline readiness.
Earlier, she worked with Lawrence Group for nearly five years as Director of Talent Development, where she was hired as the company’s first internal HR and L&D consultant (previously outsourced). She authored and developed core HR processes including the employee handbook, designed growth matrices, succession frameworks, career pathways, and learning programs—contributing both to leadership bench strength and significant cost savings through internal capability building.
Before that, Pence served with Hospital Sisters Health System as Director – Human Resources/Learning and Development, where she played a key leadership role in improving employee satisfaction dramatically by listening-led engagement strategies, strengthening internal communications, and driving action planning as a senior leadership team member.
She also gained earlier leadership experience with UniQue Personnel Consultants Inc., where she helped expand operations across multiple sites, drove HR standardization across branches, strengthened onboarding and recruitment systems, and worked directly with C-suite leadership on people operations across diverse industry clients.
Wendi Pence holds an MBA from McKendree University, strengthening her business-oriented approach to people leadership and organizational transformation.
