The RPO market in India is pegged at ₹2,500 crore, with nearly 50 new greenfield GCCs entering the country each year and each adding an average of 500 jobs

Bangalore, Karnataka, India, September 2025 – Specialist staffing firm Xpheno today announced the launch of its Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) vertical, expanding its service portfolio beyond staffing and talent consulting. To spearhead the new vertical, the company has appointed Sharin Kariappa as Head of RPO.

After 8 years and more than 30,000 GCC placements, Xpheno is leveraging its proven expertise in setting up and scaling talent functions for global capability centres (GCCs) in India. With 40+ turnkey GCC scale-ups delivered in the past three years, the company is well-positioned to bring speed, scale, and stability to enterprise hiring through its RPO frameworks.

The global RPO market, valued at $9–10 billion today, is growing 15–20% annually and is projected to reach $30 billion by 2030. In India, the RPO market is pegged at ₹2,500 crore, with nearly 50 new greenfield GCCs entering the country each year and each adding an average of 500 jobs. Already, 125 of India’s 1,800 GCCs run structured RPO programs, collectively hiring around 60,000 employees annually.

Kamal Karanth

Kamal Karanth, Co-Founder, Xpheno, said:

“The Enterprise RPO market in India is still evolving and needs credible frameworks. Having already supported over 40 greenfield GCC scale-ups and built a client base of 100+ GCCs, Xpheno enters this space from a position of strength. RPO fits seamlessly into our service mix as an annuity business, much like staffing, where 60% of our revenues already come from recurring clients. With Sharin’s leadership and our proven people-process-tech-data framework, we are confident of delivering differentiated value to enterprises seeking speed and scale in hiring.”

Francis Padamadan

Francis Padamadan, CEO designate, Xpheno, said:

“With RPO adoption already underway in 125 GCCs in India, hiring nearly 60,000 employees each year, this is a market no one in our industry can afford to overlook. Our frameworks and GCC expertise put us in a strong position to serve this demand at scale.”

Sharin Kariappa, Head of RPO, Xpheno, said:

“I am excited to lead Xpheno’s RPO business and to bring my domain expertise to its marquee customer base. Having worked with global clients across scale and complexity, I see immense opportunity to leverage Xpheno’s frameworks to deliver agile and high-impact hiring solutions. The combination of Xpheno’s strong GCC credentials and our RPO capability will be a game-changer for enterprise talent acquisition in India.”

With this launch, Xpheno aims to strengthen its position as a trusted partner for enterprises and GCCs, providing end-to-end talent solutions across staffing, consulting, and now RPO.
