Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 — Yogesh Somani has taken on the role of Head – Group HR at K Hospitality Corp, one of India’s most prominent diversified food service companies with a presence across QSRs, restaurants, travel F&B, banquets, and more. In his new role, Somani will lead the Group’s human resources strategy, driving organizational excellence, capability building, and people-centric culture across a 10,000+ strong workforce.
Prior to joining K Hospitality Corp, Yogesh Somani served as AVP & Head HR at MR DIY India for three years. There, he implemented strategic HR interventions that improved retention, boosted employee satisfaction, and generated cost savings exceeding INR 2 million. His leadership helped MR DIY achieve ESG awards, reduce attrition by 14.7%, and drive inclusivity by increasing women representation in stores by 18%.
Before MR DIY, he played a pivotal role at Infiniti Retail Ltd. (Croma) for over four years as Lead – Regional HR BP for West India. Managing over 100 stores and 2500+ employees, he was instrumental in opening 50+ new stores, launching India’s first “PINK Store” for women, and driving a digital transformation in recruitment and HR analytics. His efforts helped achieve eNPS scores above 85% and strengthened Croma’s diversity and ethics frameworks.
Somani’s journey also includes impactful leadership at Arvind Fashions Ltd., where he transitioned from Regional HR Manager to Head – Retail Training. He led award-winning L&D programs, including the “ACMD” project that delivered a stunning ROI of INR 101 million. He also contributed significantly to internal promotions and leadership development via assessment centers and career progression frameworks.
Earlier roles include HR leadership positions at Gitanjali Group, Arctern, and GECL, where he successfully drove recruitment, M&A integration, and HR project management. Somani’s HR career was preceded by his early beginnings in the F&B industry, where he worked as a Head Bartender and Bartender, showcasing a grassroots understanding of frontline operations—an experience that adds deep empathy to his leadership style today.
