Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 2026 — Egis has announced the appointment of Younes Sfeir as Operations Director for the Middle East & South Asia, effective January 2026. In this role, he will lead regional operations, driving greater efficiency, alignment, and performance across projects in one of Egis’ most strategically important regions.
In his new capacity, Younes Sfeir is responsible for overseeing and strengthening operational execution across the Middle East and South Asia, ensuring consistency in delivery, optimized project performance, and closer alignment between strategy and execution. His mandate includes enhancing operational excellence, supporting sustainable growth, and reinforcing collaboration across business lines in the region.
Sfeir brings deep regional and organizational experience, having spent over six years with Egis in progressively senior leadership roles. Prior to his current appointment, he served as Head of Transformation – Middle East & South Asia, where he was a member of the Regional Executive Committee and led a comprehensive operational transformation agenda. His work spanned commercial optimization, procurement, HR and compensation, organizational efficiency, and the integration of AI and machine learning initiatives, delivering year-on-year EBITDA improvement while also overseeing the implementation of a new Oracle ERP as part of Egis’ global transformation program.
Earlier, he held the role of Chief of Staff to the CEO – Middle East & South Asia, supporting executive decision-making across a region generating more than €600 million in revenues with over 6,000 employees. In this role, he played a key part in M&A integrations, growth and transformation initiatives, overhead optimization, and cross-entity synergies, while ensuring effective governance and execution of Executive Committee decisions.
Before that, Sfeir served as Performance, Risk, Ethics and Compliance Manager for the Middle East, leading risk management, ethics, compliance, and operational performance initiatives across multiple countries, as well as contributing to the integration of newly acquired companies in the region. His earlier career with Egis began in France, where he held engineering and design management roles, building a strong technical foundation before transitioning into regional leadership and transformation positions.
