Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 2026 — Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Sandeep Mehrotra as Chief Operating Officer – Advertisement Revenue, effective February 3, 2026. In his new role, Mehrotra will lead Zee’s advertisement revenue strategy, with a sharp focus on maximising monetisation opportunities by leveraging the growing convergence between linear television and digital platforms.
Based at Zee’s Mumbai headquarters, Mehrotra will report to Punit Goenka, Chief Executive Officer, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited. His mandate includes driving platform-agnostic monetisation, strengthening advertiser partnerships, and enhancing synergies across Zee’s broadcast and digital businesses in a rapidly evolving media and entertainment ecosystem.
As part of the leadership realignment, Laxmi Shetty will continue to head the Advertisement Revenue vertical across Broadcast and Digital, operating with a focused mandate under Mehrotra’s leadership to further sharpen execution and growth across platforms.
With over 31 years of industry experience, Mehrotra brings deep expertise in large-scale P&L management, integrated monetisation strategies, and enterprise growth across consumer-facing businesses. Prior to joining Zee, he was associated with Culver Max Entertainment (formerly Sony Pictures Networks India), where he served as Head of Advertisement Sales – Network Channels, playing a key role in driving network-wide sales performance and revenue growth. Earlier in his career, he was also associated with Bennett Coleman and Company Limited, where he built foundational experience across executive support and sales functions.
This appointment aligns with Zee’s long-term ambition to strengthen monetisation capabilities across screens, unlock value through integrated offerings, and drive sustainable revenue growth as audience consumption continues to shift across platforms.
