Northville, Michigan, United States, June 2024 – Sean Parker has joined Tenneco as the new Vice President – Human Resources, Performance Solutions. Sean brings over 20 years of extensive experience in human resources and strategic leadership to this new role, ready to enhance HR functions and performance across multiple regions.
Sean has been with Tenneco for nearly a year. Prior to his current role, he served as the Vice President – Human Resources, Global Services for ten months, where he oversaw HR functions globally and contributed to strategic HR initiatives.
Before joining Tenneco, Sean was the Executive Vice President Human Resources at Ascent Industries Co for over a year. He managed HR operations in a hybrid setup, driving HR strategies and supporting organizational growth.
Sean served as the Vice President, Global Human Resources at API Heat Transfer for four years, leading the HR strategy for a $250 million private-equity owned heat transfer manufacturer. He reported directly to the CEO and led a team of over 20 HR professionals. His achievements included creating a mission statement, implementing the first global talent management system, and driving organizational alignment.
Sean managed a single-employee staffing firm, Comhar Consulting & Executive Search, for two years, focusing on oil and gas and manufacturing industries. He partnered with large placement firms and provided HR consulting in talent management, performance management, and ERP implementations.
As the Vice President, Human Resources (Products Division) at Global Power Equipment Group for a year, Sean oversaw HR for six businesses across multiple countries. He built HR processes, led union negotiations, and implemented succession planning.
Sean directed HR strategies within NORDAM’s manufacturing operations for two years. He improved hiring efficiency, restructured the workforce, and reduced safety incident rates.
For four years at Devon Energy, Sean managed talent management and HR operations for the Marketing & Midstream division, focusing on performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement.
As the Human Resources Manager at Danaher Corporation, Sean supported South Carolina operations, focusing on cultural and performance turnaround and labor relations.
Sean provided HR support for over 1,200 employees across multiple locations at PepsiCo, managing teams in sales, marketing, production, engineering, logistics, and compliance.
At Cardinal Health, he provided HR support for a manufacturing facility, overseeing various functions including production, quality, engineering, sales, finance, and logistics.
Sean served in the United States Navy for four years, deployed to three F-14 Tomcat squadrons, contributing to avionics operations.
