Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 – Shachi Kaul has been promoted to Senior Director Human Resources & Head CSR at Mizuho, marking a significant advancement in her career with the organization. In her expanded role, Shachi will continue to lead the HR function while also spearheading the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, supporting both people and community agendas as Mizuho accelerates its impact in India.
Shachi joined Mizuho over two years ago, initially serving as Director Human Resources & Head CSR. During this period, she played a pivotal role in advancing communication, performance appraisal, and building a collaborative culture across the organization. Her leadership has driven effective HR strategy, strengthened talent processes, and embedded CSR as a core business priority.
Before Mizuho, Shachi was Executive Vice President & Head – Learning & Organisational Development, Deputy Head CSR at RBL Bank for over five years. At RBL, she played a central part in defining the organizational culture, designing leadership development frameworks, implementing talent and succession practices, and creating a robust learning architecture aligned with business strategy. In her CSR role, she supported the Head-HR in executing employee volunteering and social impact programs.
Earlier in her career, Shachi held multiple senior positions at Deutsche Bank in India, including Head of Talent, Development & Diversity and HR Business Partner – Finance Division. Her remit spanned South Asia, where she advanced core development strategies, career planning, and drove the bank’s diversity and inclusion agenda. Her leadership was recognized globally, and she helped establish new practices adopted across the region.
Shachi began her journey in HR and learning with HSBC, where as Vice President Learning & Development – India/Vietnam, she pioneered customer service training, led award-winning learning interventions, and helped build core HR and L&D frameworks in India and Vietnam. Her earlier years with Oberoi Hotels & Resorts laid a foundation of operational excellence, hospitality management, and talent development, including the launch of the landmark Systematic Training & Education Programme (STEP).
