Dubai, United Arab Emirates, June 2026 — Devabrata Talukdar has been promoted to Regional Project Manager – Western Europe and MEA | Measurement & Analytical, Instrumentation at ABB, marking another significant milestone in his nearly 12-year journey with the global technology leader. The promotion reflects his extensive expertise in project management, instrumentation, automation, analytics, and engineering leadership across the energy and industrial sectors.
In his new role, Devabrata will oversee project execution and governance across Western Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for ABB’s Measurement & Analytical Instrumentation business. His appointment highlights ABB’s confidence in his ability to drive operational excellence, strengthen customer relationships, and support the company’s industrial transformation initiatives across key international markets.
Prior to this promotion, Devabrata served as Associate Project Manager, Local Division SCM/Category Lead & Global Division Owner – PM Cockpit, AUMA at ABB, where he played a critical role in project governance, supply chain management, process optimization, data analytics, and project management framework development. His contributions helped strengthen project execution capabilities and enhance operational efficiency across the organization.
Earlier, he worked as Senior Project Engineer and Project Engineer at ABB, leading complex instrumentation and automation projects while building deep expertise in project execution, stakeholder management, engineering solutions, and customer delivery. During this period, he successfully supported large-scale industrial projects across multiple regions and sectors.
Before joining ABB, Devabrata spent more than three years with Emerson, where he served as Senior System Engineer – South Asia & UK and earlier as System Engineer, South Asia (Japan & South Korea). In these roles, he was responsible for project engineering, FEED proposal activities, technical approvals, and project leadership for major global oil and gas projects. As a subject matter expert for Rosemount instrumentation products, he supported customers across South Asia, Japan, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.
Prior to Emerson, he worked with Jost’s Engineering Company Limited as Senior Sales Engineer, leading sales, marketing, proposal development, and application engineering activities for field instrumentation solutions. His responsibilities included business development across the oil & gas and power sectors in Northeast India.
He began his professional career with Yokogawa India Limited as a Sales Executive, where he was involved in sales, application engineering, proposal management, and business development for instrumentation solutions covering pressure, temperature, flow, and level measurement technologies.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning project management, instrumentation, automation, engineering services, analytics, business development, and industrial solutions, Devabrata brings a strong blend of technical expertise and leadership capability to his new regional role at ABB.
