Deepak Tamoli Promoted to Senior General Manager at Wagh Bakri Tea Group

Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, June 2024 – Deepak Tamoli has been promoted to Senior General Manager at Wagh Bakri Tea Group. With over five years of service at Wagh Bakri Tea Group, Deepak brings a wealth of experience in learning and development, as well as organizational growth.

Deepak Tamoli has been with Wagh Bakri Tea Group for over five years, showcasing his dedication and leadership in various roles. Prior to his promotion to Senior General Manager, he served as the General Manager of Learning & Development from March 2019 to June 2024. In this role, Deepak was responsible for heading the L&D function for the group, managing over 1800 employees. He successfully drove L&D strategies to create a future-ready workforce, managed leadership and functional L&D interventions, and implemented various organizational development and engagement initiatives.

Before joining Wagh Bakri Tea Group, Deepak was with Mahindra Group as a Manager of Learning Organizational Development from August 2018 to March 2019. He managed the entire L&D cycle for over 500 corporate employees and leveraged various learning management systems to enhance training and development.

From August 2016 to August 2018, Deepak worked with Samsonite as the L&D Lead, where he led the learning and development function for over 2000 employees across India. He designed and implemented L&D frameworks and interventions and received the Best Employee of the Year award in 2017 for his outstanding contributions.

At Cipla Ltd., Deepak served as the Manager of Learning & Development from August 2015 to July 2016. He led L&D efforts for the Mumbai and Goa sales teams, developed and implemented various L&D interventions, and successfully implemented an online learning university.

Deepak’s career in learning and development began at Cafe Coffee Day, where he was the Center of Excellence for Learning & Development from July 2011 to July 2015. He was responsible for content creation and implementation of L&D programs for the pan-India staff on sales, behavioral, process, and leadership domains.
