Copenhagen, Denmark, July 2024 – Michael Meyer has taken on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (Interim) at LEO Pharma. With over a decade of experience at LEO Pharma, Michael brings extensive expertise in organizational development, leadership, and change management to this crucial position.
Michael Meyer has been with LEO Pharma for 11 years and 10 months. Prior to his current role, he served as a Strategic HR Business Partner, providing HR support for all commercial functions from the US to Japan. Before that, he was the Head of Organization & Talent Development, where he was responsible for HR Business Partnering and HR Development, focusing on high-value leadership and talent enhancement.
In his role as Executive Director, Head of People Business Partnering for Internal Value Streams, Michael led HR business partner teams supporting Global R&D efforts, corporate functions, and multiple production sites across Europe. He also served as the Head of HR Business Partnering for Region International & Thrombosis, managing HR operations for a culturally diverse region with more than 1,200 employees.
Michael’s earlier roles at LEO Pharma include HR Director for G3M and Global Business Unit Thrombosis, Regional HR Director for Asia, and Global HR Business Partner. His career also includes significant HR roles at Tryg and Mercuri Urval, where he focused on recruitment and staffing, and management consulting, respectively. Michael began his career as an officer in the Danish Defence Personnel Organisation, gaining invaluable leadership experience.
