Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, July 2024 – Akanksha Vir has been promoted to the position of Group Manager, People Projects and Change at The Star Entertainment Group. With a strong background in organizational development and transformation, Akanksha is set to lead the continuous improvement of people systems and processes, including risk and governance-related procedures, legislative and change processes, remediation activities, and cultural reform.
Akanksha Vir has been with The Star Entertainment Group for 10 months. Prior to her current role, she served as the Performance and Culture Transformation Manager, where she led multiple organizational development and transformation projects to effect people and culture change.
Before joining The Star Entertainment Group, Akanksha worked as a Specialist Consultant – Change & Transformation at Charterhouse Partnership. In this role, she managed various business transformation projects including mergers and acquisitions, organizational development, technology adoption, business sale and separation, operating model transformation, leadership development, and organizational design.
At Westpac Group, Akanksha served as an HR Business and Change Partner, driving value at all stages of organizational change and business separation to support strategic review and divestment projects. She developed and managed change plans, stakeholder communications, and employee support workshops.
In her earlier role at ANZ, she worked as a Change Management Specialist, supporting organizational change processes related to the divestment of ANZ bank’s Wealth businesses. She implemented HR projects, talent transition processes, and led employee wellbeing initiatives.
