Bokaro, Jharkhand, India, July 2024 – Shyamlee Minz has commenced her role as the Chief Human Resources Officer at ESL Steel Limited, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career.
Shyamlee Minz brings a wealth of experience and expertise in human resources to her new role. Prior to joining ESL Steel Limited, she served as the Head of HR, Timken in India at The Timken Company in Bengaluru. During her tenure at Timken, she played a pivotal role in shaping HR strategies and enhancing employee engagement.
Before Timken, Shyamlee was the Director of Human Resources, South Asia at MBCC Group in Mumbai. In this position, she was instrumental in driving HR initiatives across South Asia, contributing to the organization’s growth and success for over four years.
Earlier in her career, Shyamlee held the position of Associate Vice President – HR at AXA Business Services in Bangalore. She managed various HR functions and led initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Shyamlee’s career also includes a notable tenure at General Motors, where she served as the Deputy General Manager – HR. At General Motors Technical Centre India Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore, she was responsible for leading HR operations and implementing strategic HR programs for nearly nine years.
She began her professional journey at Cummins Inc. as a Senior Manager – HR, where she honed her skills in HR management and played a key role in HR operations at Tata Cummins Ltd. in Jamshedpur for almost eight years.
ESL Steel Limited is part of the Vedanta group, a globally diversified metals and mining company. Incorporated in 2006, ESL has established a 2.5 MTPA planned capacity Integrated Greenfield Steel Plant near Siyaljori village in the Bokaro district of Jharkhand. The facility includes a Sinter Plant, Coke Oven, Blast Furnace, Basic Oxygen Furnace, Billet Caster, Wire Rod Mill, Bar Mill, DI Pipes Plant, and Power Plant. ESL produces a range of products including Pig Iron, Billets, TMT Rebars, Wire Rods, and Ductile Iron Pipes, using high-quality raw materials to ensure consistent quality.
