McLean, Virginia, United States, August 2024 – Hayley Bowd has been named the Director of Emerging Talent & Careers at Expedia Group. In her new role, Hayley will be responsible for overseeing and driving the strategy to attract, develop, and retain emerging talent globally, ensuring that Expedia continues to foster an inclusive and innovative workforce.

At Expedia Group, Hayley has been with the organization for nearly five years, progressing through various leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Senior Manager of Global Emerging Talent, where she led a team of 20 recruiters, coordinators, and regional managers. Her leadership was instrumental in developing a comprehensive hiring strategy, which resulted in the successful onboarding of over 1,000 interns and graduates in 2023.

Prior to this, Hayley was Program Manager for Global Early Careers, managing strategic projects and programs focused on innovating and streamlining Expedia’s approach to attracting and nurturing early talent. She also served as Global Talent Acquisition Manager, where she led a global team responsible for recruiting top marketing talent across EMEA, Americas, and APAC regions.

Before joining Expedia Group, Hayley was with Thomas Cook Group for over two years, where she held key roles such as UK&I Resourcing Manager and Senior Resourcing Business Partner – Early Careers, Retail and Contact Centres. In these roles, she was instrumental in developing and implementing resourcing strategies that optimized recruitment processes, ensured diversity and inclusion, and supported talent acquisition across various levels.

Her earlier career includes experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at PA Consulting, where she managed end-to-end recruitment processes across various business areas including Corporate Recruitment, Strategy, IT Transformation, and Life Sciences. During her time at PA Consulting, she played a significant role in refining recruitment strategies and enhancing the onboarding process for new hires.

Hayley began her career at Caterpillar Inc., where she worked as an Early Careers/L&D Analyst. Here, she supported the recruitment process for early career programs and coordinated demand planning activities for training courses across EMEA, contributing significantly to the organization’s talent development initiatives.
