Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, August 2024 – Melissa Sovic has been named the Director of Talent Acquisition at Maverik, Inc., the largest independent fuel marketer in the Intermountain West. In her new role, Melissa will be responsible for driving Maverik’s talent acquisition strategy, focusing on attracting top talent to fuel the company’s continued growth and success.
Before stepping into this role, Melissa served as the Senior Manager of HR Technology and Systems at Maverik from August 2023 to August 2024, where she was instrumental in advancing HR technologies and optimizing systems to enhance the company’s human resources operations. Prior to that, she held the position of Manager, HR Projects and Technology, where she successfully managed various HR projects, driving innovation and efficiency across the organization.
Earlier in her career at Maverik, Melissa was the Human Resource Project Manager, leading key HR initiatives, and the Learning and Development Specialist, where she played a vital role in employee training and development.
Before joining Maverik, Melissa gained valuable experience at Cox Automotive Inc., holding various roles, including Front Office/Arbitration Manager and Dealer Services/Marketing and Promotions.
