Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, May 2026 — DIAGEO India has announced the elevation of Amitabh Pande to its Executive Committee as Chief Strategy Officer, effective June 1, 2026, marking a significant strategic leadership move for one of India’s leading premium beverage alcohol companies.
Pande’s elevation reflects his exceptional leadership in consumer strategy, business planning, digital transformation, and long-term growth architecture, positioning him at the forefront of DIAGEO India’s next phase of strategic expansion and market leadership.
Pande has been associated with DIAGEO India for nearly five years, most recently serving as EVP, Strategy, Consumer Planning and Digital. Prior to this, he held the role of Chief Consumer Strategy and Planning Officer, where he led enterprise-wide consumer planning, strategy development, market analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
Before joining DIAGEO India, Pande served as Country Marketing Manager at IKEA India, where he led the company’s marketing strategy and consumer engagement for the Indian market. Earlier at IKEA, he also served as Strategic Planner, heading strategy planning and consumer insights functions.
Prior to IKEA, Pande worked as an independent consultant in consumer insights and strategy, supporting businesses across marketing strategy, innovation development, consumer analytics, and brand growth.
His most extensive corporate journey was with PepsiCo, where he spent over 14 years across India and the UK in multiple senior leadership roles spanning consumer insights, strategy, category growth, business planning, and organizational capability building. During this tenure, he played pivotal roles in shaping strategy across brands including Lay’s, Kurkure, Quaker, Tropicana, and broader PepsiCo India and UK portfolios.
Earlier in his career, Pande also gained foundational market research expertise at Research International India, building strong capabilities in strategic consumer and market understanding.
With over two decades of leadership across FMCG, retail, consumer insights, digital strategy, and strategic planning, Pande’s elevation to Chief Strategy Officer reinforces DIAGEO India’s commitment to data-driven, consumer-centric, and future-ready growth.
