Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 — Shalabh Jain has taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer at M/S Hemani Industries Ltd, bringing with him over 30 years of leadership experience across global operations, strategy, and change management. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment as Hemani Industries sharpens its focus on international competitiveness and operational excellence in the agrochemical sector.

Before joining Hemani Industries, Shalabh served as Head of Operations – Asia Pacific (including Africa and India) at Adama Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, and also held the position of Whole Time Director at Adama India. In this role, he led end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing strategies for a business spanning over $1 billion in revenue across diverse markets and cultures.

Previously, Shalabh was Head of Operations – India, Middle East & Africa Region at ADAMA Ltd., where he also served on the board of CropLife India, advancing industry-wide initiatives in product stewardship, regulatory reform, and anti-counterfeiting. His contributions were key to aligning regional operations with global production and supply strategies.

Earlier in his career, he was Director of Operations – India at Adama, overseeing operational execution for a $400M business. Prior to his tenure with Adama, Shalabh worked at PI Industries Ltd as Senior General Manager, where he was responsible for sourcing, supply chain, and factory planning across multiple manufacturing sites. His international experience includes heading procurement and planning at Europackaging UK Ltd., managing vendor operations across Southeast Asia.

Part of the Hemani Group, M/S Hemani Industries Ltd is a leading manufacturer and exporter of agrochemical products in India. Recognized as a Government of India STAR EXPORT HOUSE, the company is known globally for its high-quality production of Metaphenoxybenzaldehyde (MPBD), Cypermethric Acid Chloride (CMAC), and Cypermethrin Technical. With ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 certifications, Hemani Industries is among the world’s top producers of pyrethroid products and serves multiple sectors including agrochemicals, public health, veterinary, and wood protection.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
