Talwandi Sabo, Punjab, India, August 2024 – Abhilasha Malviya has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Talwandi Sabo Power Ltd. (TSPL), a subsidiary of Vedanta Power, overseeing its 1980 MW thermal power plant. With a strong background in HR leadership, Abhilasha will focus on enhancing profitability, optimal resource utilization, talent management, learning and development, career planning, and succession planning to build a competent workforce at TSPL.
Before joining TSPL, Abhilasha served as the Head of Communications Raw Material at Tata Steel, where she led cultural transformation initiatives across the organization, focusing on agility, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, and innovation. She was instrumental in launching programs like “Xcelerate” for senior leadership and several other development initiatives across the company.
Prior to her role at Tata Steel, Abhilasha held the position of Senior Manager HRD at JK Organisation, where she implemented key HR interventions, including talent management, SAP SuccessFactors, and e-learning platforms. Her focus on employee engagement, leadership development, and wellness initiatives significantly contributed to the organization’s growth.
Earlier in her career, she was a key leader in Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd., where she managed manpower planning, leadership interventions, and succession planning. She also held HR leadership roles at Jindal Power Ltd., where she was responsible for learning and organizational development at their power and coal mining operations.
