Bel Air, Maryland, United States – October 2024 – The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region (The Arc NCR) has welcomed Janice Zdanis as its new Chief Human Resources Officer. With over two decades of expertise in HR leadership across diverse industries, Janice is set to drive transformative HR initiatives to support The Arc NCR’s mission of empowering individuals with differing abilities.
Before joining The Arc NCR, Janice served as Director of Human Resources at Maxalea, Inc., a prominent landscape design firm in Baltimore. Over her 13-year tenure, she led strategic HR functions, overseeing benefits administration, employee relations, and workforce planning for the 100+ employee organization. Janice also implemented innovative recruiting strategies to manage seasonal workforce needs, driving workforce continuity and operational efficiency.
Janice’s earlier roles include her time as an HR Consultant with J.J. McDonnell & Co Inc, where she established a centralized HR function and conducted a comprehensive HR audit for this seafood wholesaler. She was instrumental in creating HR processes that enhanced operational structure for a company with no prior HR setup. Additionally, at Cetus Group LLC, Janice developed and implemented HR programs that supported the company’s rapid growth within the health economics sector.
In previous years, Janice held significant HR leadership roles, including as Vice President of Human Resources at Bill Me Later, Inc., where she managed HR functions during a critical period of business transition. Her role extended to overseeing international office consolidations and cultivating a corporate culture aligned with growth goals.
