Austin, Texas, United States – November 2024 – Wendy Nevak has started her new role as Head of Talent Acquisition at Vital Bio, where she will drive talent acquisition strategies and lead efforts to enhance the candidate experience. Wendy’s background in strategic recruitment and scaling talent functions within high-growth companies positions her to make a significant impact as Vital Bio continues to grow its team of innovators in healthcare.
Wendy’s most recent position was as Head of Talent Acquisition at Cue Health Inc., a healthcare technology company, where she served for nearly six years. In this role, Wendy was a key member of the HR Executive Leadership team, scaling the talent acquisition function from start-up stage to a company with a global presence, supporting up to 24 team members. She implemented strategic programs including internship, alumni, and referral programs and played a crucial role in developing Cue Health’s Indian and Turkish entities. Under her leadership, Cue Health grew rapidly, achieving impressive hiring targets while maintaining an 87% team engagement score.
Before her time at Cue Health, Wendy worked as a Corporate Recruiter (Contract) for Cubic Corporation in San Diego, where she focused on recruiting specialized talent in transportation engineering, showcasing her adaptability across different industries. This experience built upon her earlier expertise developed in various roles in technical recruiting and client relationship management, as she worked with Kforce Inc. and INT Technologies. Here, Wendy honed her skills in end-to-end recruiting, building client relationships, and expanding her expertise in IT recruitment.
Wendy’s career in talent acquisition began with COMSYS and Experis (ManpowerGroup), where she held positions as Senior Technical Recruiter and CORE Recruiter. In these roles, she was integral in building IT teams for top companies in Southern California, managing everything from technical sourcing to strategic recruiting processes that emphasized efficiency and performance.
