Eagan, Minnesota, United States, November 2024 – Ted Hermann has joined Sensience as the new Vice President of Engineering and Technology. In his role, Ted will lead the company’s engineering and technological innovations, driving advancements in sensing, control, and sealing components for a diverse range of industries.
Ted Hermann brings over three decades of engineering leadership to Sensience. Prior to his new role, Ted served as Engineering Director, EE & Sensor Development at Ecolab, where he spent two years leading engineering teams focused on sensor development and electrical engineering advancements in Eagan, Minnesota.
Before that, he was Engineering Director, F&S Controls at Carrier, where he directed engineering projects in Fort Wayne, Indiana. His leadership spanned critical control solutions for fire safety and other applications during his two-and-a-half-year tenure.
Ted’s longest tenure was at Det-Tronics (Detector Electronics Corporation), where he spent over a decade as Director of Engineering, spearheading engineering operations for safety-critical detection solutions in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Earlier in his career, Ted gained significant experience at Seagate Technology, where he served as Engineering Director for nearly 12 years, overseeing engineering programs in Shakopee, Minnesota. He began his career as Program Manager at NVE Corporation, managing engineering programs in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, for three years.
