São Paulo, São Paulo, Brazil, November 2024 – Marcelo Tardin has stepped into a pivotal dual role as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) & Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) at Grupo Carrefour Brasil, one of the largest retail employers in the country. With over two decades of global leadership experience across transformation, operations, and HR strategy, Tardin is set to drive innovation and people-centric initiatives within the organization.
Prior to his current role, Marcelo Tardin served as Chief Transformation Officer at Grupo Carrefour Brasil for two years, where he successfully led transformative projects that enhanced operational efficiency and organizational agility.
Before joining Carrefour, Tardin held the position of Executive Director at Grupo Big – Brasil, contributing to the organization’s business growth over nearly three years. His expertise in strategic operations and change management was also demonstrated during his tenure at Walmart, where he worked as an Executive Director, overseeing critical operational projects.
Tardin’s earlier roles include serving as VP Operations at dr.consulta, where he spearheaded operational excellence initiatives in the healthcare sector, and a remarkable 12-year stint at AB InBev, where he held multiple leadership roles such as VP Solutions LATAM, VP Information & Business Services – Europe, and Business Services Director. His tenure at AB InBev involved leading complex global projects and managing large-scale shared services centers across Europe and Latin America.
