Atlanta, Georgia, United States, November 2024 – Jason Scott has stepped into the role of Director, Talent Acquisition at Norfolk Southern, marking a significant milestone in his two-year tenure at the company. In this new leadership role, Jason will oversee strategic talent acquisition initiatives, further strengthening Norfolk Southern’s position as a premier employer and a leader in freight transportation.
Jason’s journey at Norfolk Southern began in May 2022, when he joined as Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition. In this role, he spearheaded recruitment strategies, championed diversity hiring, and fostered university partnerships, all while managing comprehensive talent acquisition processes across the organization’s expansive network.
Before joining Norfolk Southern, Jason spent nearly a decade at Shaw Industries, where he served as Senior Manager, Talent Acquisition. He was instrumental in shaping Shaw’s recruitment processes, including implementing a robust veteran hiring initiative, and driving workforce planning across diverse business units.
Jason’s extensive career in talent acquisition includes leadership roles at Pier 1 Imports, where he managed IT and e-commerce talent acquisition, and at Robert Half Technology, where he built and expanded a client base while recruiting top-tier IT professionals.
He also honed his skills in management and recruitment during his tenure at IDR, Inc., where he held progressive roles, including Account Manager and Senior Recruiter, focusing on delivering staffing solutions for enterprise clients.
