Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, December 2024 – Praveen Samariya has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Medi Assist, the leading HealthTech and InsurTech company in India. In his new role, Praveen will spearhead Medi Assist’s technological innovations, leveraging advanced systems and cutting-edge technologies to enhance health benefits administration and ensure a seamless customer experience.
Praveen brings a wealth of experience, having been with Medi Assist for over four years, most recently serving as the Head of Engineering, where he successfully developed scalable platforms and implemented technology-driven strategies to streamline business operations.
Before his tenure at Medi Assist, Praveen served as the Head of Products & Engineering at Mahindra Logistics, where he led a team of over 50 developers and architects to create scalable business applications and optimize logistics and mobility solutions.
As the Director and CTO of SamayLa, he focused on building intuitive project management tools for enterprises, demonstrating his ability to blend technology with user-centric design. Earlier, Praveen co-founded AHA Taxis, an innovative outstation taxi aggregation platform, where he pioneered technological solutions like dynamic pricing and reverse auction engines, setting new industry benchmarks.
Praveen’s diverse experience also includes roles at Alleviate Technologies, Times Internet, and TravelOBuddy, where he honed his expertise in software engineering, product development, and team leadership.
