Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2025 – Zafar Bhatri has been appointed as the Director of Human Resources at McKinsey & Company, leveraging over a decade of diverse professional experience in human resources, consulting, and management. In his new role, Zafar will oversee HR strategies and talent development initiatives, fostering an environment that aligns with McKinsey’s commitment to empowering its people and clients globally.
Zafar’s association with McKinsey & Company began in 2014 when he served as a Consultant for five years, collaborating on transformative projects in the public and social sectors.
After a stint as General Manager at Mahindra Logistics, where he led key HR and operational strategies, he returned to McKinsey in 2020 as a Senior Manager, advancing to Associate Director of Human Resources in 2022. In this capacity, Zafar contributed significantly to talent acquisition, leadership development, and organizational growth.

Before joining McKinsey, Zafar gained experience across diverse roles, including his time as a Fellow at Teach For India, where he made a lasting impact by teaching under-resourced communities, and as a Store Manager at ITC Limited, honing his operational and strategic management skills.
