STOCKHOLM, Sweden, February 2025 — Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) today announced significant changes to its Executive Team and a restructuring of its global operating framework to streamline regional structures.
Per Narvinger, previously the Head of Business Area Cloud Software and Services since 2022, has been appointed Executive Vice President and the new Head of Business Area Networks, effective March 15, 2025. Narvinger, a long-time Ericsson veteran since 1997, has held various global roles before joining the Executive Team.
Jenny Lindqvist, currently heading the Market Area Europe & Latin America, will succeed Narvinger as Head of Business Area Cloud Software and Services on the same date. Lindqvist has been with Ericsson since 2010 and has served in various leadership capacities.
Börje Ekholm, President and CEO of Ericsson, stated, “Per has led a turnaround of Cloud Software and Services and his extensive experience… will ensure that Networks continues to benefit from our product leadership position… Jenny has performed very strongly during her tenure at Market Area Europe & Latin America and I’m very pleased that she will head Cloud Software and Services going forward.”
The company is also restructuring its market areas to enhance efficiency and maintain customer focus, consolidating three market areas into two. The new Market Area Americas will be led by Yossi Cohen, and the Market Area Europe, Middle East & Africa will be headed by Patrick Johansson.
Additionally, Fredrik Jejdling, the current Head of Business Area Networks, will step down on March 15, 2025, and will remain as an executive advisor until June 30, 2025. Jejdling has been with Ericsson since 2006 and has been a pivotal member of the Executive Team since 2017.
Ekholm praised Jejdling’s contributions, noting, “Fredrik has been a valued member of the Executive Team… and has led the success of our Networks business… We thank Fredrik for all his good work for Ericsson, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Fredrik Jejdling commented on his departure, “It has been a true privilege to work at Ericsson… I feel that this is a good time to move on to new opportunities.”
