Radhika Singh Banerjee Appointed as Chief Talent Management & Employee Experience at Tata Steel

Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India, March 2025 – Tata Steel has announced the appointment of Radhika Singh Banerjee as Chief Talent Management & Employee Experience. In her new role, she will be responsible for driving talent strategy, workforce engagement, and employee experience initiatives across Tata Steel’s extensive operations.

Banerjee, who has been with Tata Steel for over a decade, has held multiple leadership positions within the company, including Chief HRBP – Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division (FAMD) and Chief Human Resources Officer at JCAPCPL. She has played a crucial role in workforce planning, mergers & acquisitions, HR integration, and employee engagement.

Before assuming her current position, Radhika Singh Banerjee was the Chief HRBP – Ferro Alloys and Minerals Division (FAMD) at Tata Steel, where she led the HR integration of Tata Steel Mining following its merger, overseeing a workforce of over 10,000 employees across multiple plants and mines. Her leadership in strategic HR planning, industrial relations, and change management significantly improved employee retention and morale.

Prior to that, she served as Chief Human Resources Officer at JCAPCPL, where she led HR, Business Excellence, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. She was instrumental in driving Tata Business Excellence applications, industrial relations strategies, and employee engagement programs, earning recognition for achieving the highest volunteering hours per employee across the Tata Group.

Earlier, Banerjee held key leadership roles at Tata Steel UK and Tata Steel India, including HR Project Manager and Head HRM – Portfolio Transformation, where she managed HR strategies for Tata Steel’s global businesses, handled M&A integrations, and played a pivotal role in organizational restructuring.

Before joining Tata Steel, she worked at GE, where she was responsible for compensation and benefits across multiple business verticals, including Power & Water, Oil & Gas, Transportation, and Aviation. Her early career included leadership roles at EXL and Hewitt Associates, where she specialized in compensation, rewards strategies, and executive hiring.
