Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced the appointment of Sudeep Kunnumal as CHRO Designate, succeeding Milind Lakkad. This leadership transition marks the third major executive change at TCS following recent CEO and COO appointments. With over 25 years of HR leadership experience, Kunnumal has been instrumental in shaping TCS’s human resource strategy across multiple geographies and business verticals.
Sudeep Kunnumal has been with TCS for nearly 25 years, holding several key HR leadership roles. Since 2019, he has served as Global Head of Human Resources for Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance, overseeing talent strategies for one of TCS’s largest business verticals.

Previously, he was Director of HR for Asia Pacific, leading HR strategy and operations across the region. Before that, he held the role of Head of Talent Acquisition – India, where he played a key role in building TCS’s talent pipeline and recruitment framework.
Earlier in his career, Kunnumal was Head of HR – Europe, managing workforce expansion and employee engagement strategies across the region. His diverse global HR experience includes leadership roles such as Head of Immigration – North America and HR Manager – India, where he contributed significantly to organizational growth and compliance.
Before joining TCS, he gained HR expertise at Petro Araldite Pvt. Ltd. and Indo Matsushita Appliances Company Limited, further strengthening his leadership credentials in talent management and organizational development.
