Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan, March 2025 – High-Q Pharmaceuticals has announced the appointment of Dr. Shahnawaz Sajid as Chief Executive Officer – Global & Strategic Operations. In his new role, Dr. Sajid will oversee strategic growth and operational leadership across global markets, with a focus on expanding international business, driving innovation, and strengthening regulatory excellence.
Dr. Sajid joins High-Q from Macter International, where he served as President – Scientific, Technical & International Operations & Strategic Projects for nearly three years. During his tenure, he was instrumental in transforming Macter into one of the region’s fastest-growing pharmaceutical firms, expanding its R&D capabilities, boosting productivity, and leading successful international expansion into new markets.
Prior to Macter, he was associated with Novugen Pharma in Malaysia and Uzbekistan for over seven years, holding positions including Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He played a pivotal role in establishing FDA and PIC/S-approved manufacturing plants and built a globally recognized R&D Center of Excellence, while also leading complex product launches, ANDA filings, and manufacturing setups for the US and CIS markets.
Dr. Sajid’s earlier experience includes over eight years at Getz Pharma, where he served as Head of Research Development & Quality Control. He led multiple R&D units including biotechnology and analytical services and successfully defended international audits, implemented cGMP systems, and spearheaded several innovative formulation projects. He is credited with notable scientific publications and patents in the field of chemistry and biopharmaceuticals.
Armed with a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Dr. Sajid brings over 21 years of pharmaceutical leadership experience, with proven expertise in US FDA plant design, complex generics, global regulatory strategy, and international commercialization. His appointment marks a significant step in High-Q’s journey toward becoming a leading global pharmaceutical company.
