Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Lokesh Sikka has taken on the role of President and Group CHRO at GM MODULAR, where he will be overseeing human resources for the GM Group of Companies across India. As a key member of the senior leadership team, he is expected to play a strategic role in driving HR transformation and organizational development across the group.
Prior to joining GM MODULAR, Lokesh Sikka served as Head of Human Resources at Reliance Retail for approximately two years, where he was responsible for managing the entire HR lifecycle and Learning & Development initiatives for Product Business Group/Own Brands across India. His contributions significantly strengthened the people strategy and supported the company’s rapid expansion.

Earlier, he spent nearly six years at Onida, where he held leadership roles including CHRO, Vice President, Board Member, and Executive Director. He led end-to-end HR, administration, and industrial relations, implementing transformational initiatives like setting up the Onida Learning Academy, revamping performance management systems, and driving leadership hiring to align with the organization’s growth strategy.
Before Onida, he held the position of Director – Human Resources at Snapdeal, where he managed both HR Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition portfolios for over two and a half years. He scaled Snapdeal’s workforce exponentially and introduced university engagement initiatives and innovative HR strategies to support non-tech functions such as Supply Chain and Customer Service.
In his earlier career, Lokesh Sikka held HR leadership roles at reputed organizations including HDFC Securities, Flipkart, Sify Technologies, Vodafone Essar Ltd, Aditya Birla Group, Aegis Ltd, and Hero ITES Ltd, accumulating over two decades of diverse HR experience across multiple industries. He holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad.
