Atlanta, Georgia, United States, March 2025 – Lia B. has stepped into the role of Director, Human Resources, Global Commercial and Marketing at IHG Hotels & Resorts, a leading global hospitality company. In her new position, Lia will serve as a strategic HR business partner, driving the people agenda in alignment with the organization’s global commercial and marketing goals.
Over her 17-year journey with IHG Hotels & Resorts, Lia has made a remarkable impact across various domains of the business. Most recently, she served as Director, Global Learning Strategy Implementation, where she led the re-launch of IHG University and rolled out a new learning ecosystem, including global learning platforms and tools. Her strategic leadership played a pivotal role in redefining learning experiences across the organization.

Earlier, Lia held the role of Director, Global Voice Programs, Sales & Marketing, where she led transformation initiatives including AI-based technologies and strategic marketing partnerships across voice channels, generating over $1B in revenue. Prior to that, she led Global Brand Communications for the Holiday Inn brand family, spearheading identity and digital enhancements for the brand.
She has also been a driving force behind DE&I initiatives at IHG, co-chairing the Lean In / Women’s ERG, launching mentoring programs, and championing inclusive leadership development for over six years.
