Amita Patni Appointed as Vice President, Global Procurement Head at Shalina Healthcare

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, May 2026 – Shalina Healthcare has appointed Amita Patni as Vice President, Global Procurement Head, bringing extensive expertise in strategic sourcing, procurement leadership, supply chain management, and global commercial operations across the pharmaceutical and agrochemical sectors.

With significant experience spanning APIs, excipients, packaging materials, formulations, bulk chemicals, and direct procurement operations, Amita Patni has built a strong leadership career across multinational pharmaceutical, specialty chemical, and healthcare organizations.

Prior to joining Shalina Healthcare, Amita Patni served as Category Lead – Global Procurement (Direct Spend) at Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd., where she led procurement initiatives focused on direct materials and strategic sourcing operations for global business requirements.

Earlier, she worked with Laxmi Organic Industries Ltd. as Vice President Procurement, where she played a key role in procurement strategy, supplier management, sourcing optimization, and strengthening commercial operations across the organization.

Before that, Amita spent nearly six years with Teva Pharmaceuticals as Associate Director – Direct Materials, leading procurement operations for pharmaceutical direct materials and strengthening sourcing capabilities across critical supply categories. She also worked with UPL as Senior Manager – Strategic Sourcing, where she handled sourcing strategy and supplier partnerships within the agrochemical and industrial sectors.

A significant part of her early leadership journey was with GSK, where she spent over six years across multiple procurement and supply chain roles including Procurement Manager (Global Role), Procurement Manager, and Assistant Manager – Sourcing Group (External Supply). During her tenure, she also contributed to GSK’s global supply chain transformation initiatives and strategic sourcing programs across international markets.

On the academic front, Amita Patni holds an MBA in Finance from SPJIMR SP Jain Institute of Management & Research.
