Keira Howlett Appointed as Chief People Officer - Personal Banking at NAB

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, March 2025 – Keira Howlett has taken on a new role as Chief People Officer – Personal Banking at National Australia Bank (NAB). In this key leadership position, she will oversee the people strategy for NAB’s Personal Banking division, shaping the future of colleague and customer experiences in one of Australia’s most influential banking institutions.

Prior to this appointment, Keira Howlett most recently served as Head of Business Partnering – Finance and Commercial Services at NAB, where she led HR initiatives to support finance and commercial teams across the bank. She also served as Acting Chief People Officer – Business and Private Bank, where she provided leadership during a critical period of transition and strategy execution across business units.

Earlier, she held the role of Head of Business Partnering – Business & Private Banking, bringing strong people strategy alignment to NAB’s business banking operations. Her tenure also includes experience as Senior Manager, People Advisory, where she led advisory services supporting cultural transformation and workforce capability development.

Over her nearly 17-year journey with NAB, Keira held multiple impactful roles such as Manager, Employee Relations, Senior Consultant – Workplace Relations, and Manager Capability – Accreditation and Compliance, in addition to serving in strategic positions such as Senior Business Engagement Manager and People and Culture Business Partner. Her deep expertise in organisational change, employee relations, and leadership development has been instrumental in enabling NAB’s people agenda.
