Milan, Lombardy, Italy, April 2025 – Alessandro Bonatti has officially joined WeRoad as the new Chief People Officer, stepping into a pivotal leadership role to support the company’s mission of transforming group travel experiences for the Millennial generation. In his new position, Alessandro will lead the company’s people strategy, talent development, and organizational effectiveness to fuel WeRoad’s ambitious international expansion and culture-driven approach.
Prior to this appointment, Alessandro served as Head of HR / Principal HR Business Partner at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where he led people strategy for the EMEA North Commercial Sales business. He was instrumental in enabling innovation and growth by aligning HR initiatives with business objectives across multiple geographies.
Before joining AWS, Alessandro spent over a decade at Booking.com, holding several leadership roles including HR Director EMEA and HR Director for EMEA & Global Commercial Operations. There, he played a key role in managing people operations across 40+ countries and led HR transformation for a 6,000+ employee base, contributing to Booking.com’s reputation as a global digital travel leader.
Earlier in his career, Alessandro built a strong foundation at American Express, where he held HR leadership roles in Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands, including HR Relationship Team Manager and HR Project Manager on international assignments. His career began in HR consultancy and has spanned over two decades, marked by a consistent focus on talent management, organizational design, and strategic leadership.
