Gurugram, Haryana, India, April 2025 — Himanshu Gaur has been appointed as vice president – supply chain management at Medanta – The Medicity, bringing with him over 20 years of progressive leadership in healthcare procurement and supply chain transformation. Known for integrating clinical priorities with cost optimization, Himanshu will be instrumental in further enhancing Medanta’s supply chain capabilities to deliver efficient, patient-focused outcomes.
Prior to this, Himanshu served at Care Hospitals as assistant vice president – central procurement, where he led end-to-end sourcing for medical and non-medical categories across India. His tenure focused on centralizing procurement systems, boosting compliance, and introducing process innovations that created measurable operational value.
Earlier, Himanshu was senior manager – central procurement & group pharmacy head at Columbia Asia Hospitals, where he managed supply chain governance and pan-India vendor contracts across 11 units. He also held senior procurement roles at Shalby Hospitals, Fortis Healthcare, and Surya Healthcare, where he consistently demonstrated expertise in strategic buying, vendor partnerships, and inventory control.
His career began at Artemis Hospitals and Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, laying the foundation for a robust understanding of pharma procurement and vendor ecosystems. Himanshu’s appointment is a strong reflection of Medanta’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence and digitally driven healthcare delivery.
