Martha Nelson Trott Appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer at Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America, Inc.

Itasca, Illinois, United States, April 2025 – Martha Nelson Trott has taken on the role of Chief Human Resources Officer at Ajinomoto Health & Nutrition North America, Inc., bringing with her over three decades of HR leadership experience across the healthcare, food, technology, and manufacturing industries. In her new role, Martha will drive strategic HR transformation initiatives, workforce planning, and leadership development across all business divisions and subsidiaries in North America.

Prior to joining Ajinomoto, Martha Nelson Trott served as Vice President and CHRO – Americas at Sysmex America, Inc., where she led HR across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM regions, overseeing talent, engagement, DEI, and SAP HR transformation projects for over 1,600 employees. Her contributions included building a harmonized HR framework across six countries and launching a highly rated management development program.

Before Sysmex, she held the position of VP of Human Resources for the Americas at DeLaval, based out of Sweden, where she led HR operations across seven countries, helped launch a Center of Learning in LATAM, and delivered award-winning employer branding campaigns.

Her earlier roles include Associate Director of HR at Kraft Foods, where she supported global research and marketing teams and helped drive initiatives tied to top- and bottom-line growth. She began her career with leadership stints at Honda of America, Chicago Park District, and BP Amoco, building a reputation for strategic HR leadership, operational excellence, and people development.

In parallel to her corporate work, Martha also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business at North Park University and is an active Member of Chief, a premier network for executive women.
