Los Angeles, California, United States, April 2025 – Ian Maron-Kolitch has joined Apex – Spacecraft Manufacturing as Head of Talent & People Operations. In his new role, Ian will be responsible for building and scaling HR infrastructure, people strategy, talent operations, and employee experience for one of the most innovative and rapidly growing satellite bus manufacturers in the commercial aerospace industry.

Before joining Apex, Ian served as an independent People/HR Consultant, advising multiple aerospace, robotics, and tech firms in Los Angeles on organizational change management, benefits benchmarking, and foundational HR frameworks. His consultative leadership helped early-stage companies establish robust people strategies during rapid growth.

Previously, he led the HRBP and Workforce Development teams at ABL Space Systems, where he aligned people initiatives with strategic business goals and drove performance management and leadership development for technical and operations teams. His prior experience also includes a significant role as Senior Director, People Development at BCG X, where he oversaw global learning, mobility, and talent development for over 3,000 employees across 60+ countries.

Ian also held senior leadership roles at BCG Digital Ventures and R/GA, where he served as Chief People Officer and Executive HR Director, respectively. He was instrumental in leading cross-functional HR operations, DEIB initiatives, and talent strategy execution across the U.S., EMEA, and LATAM regions. His early career included impactful contributions at Teach For America, shaping his people-first leadership philosophy.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
