Pune, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 – Azhar Shaikh has been appointed as Director, Talent Acquisition at Hitachi Digital Services, where he will lead end-to-end hiring strategies, workforce scaling, and employer branding initiatives aligned with the company’s expanding digital transformation portfolio. Azhar’s elevation reflects his longstanding commitment to building agile, future-ready talent frameworks for the rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Azhar has been an integral part of Hitachi Digital Services for over nine years, progressing through roles including India Lead – Talent Acquisition, Senior Manager, and Manager – Talent Acquisition. Throughout his tenure, he has led high-impact initiatives to streamline recruitment operations, improve time-to-hire, and support large-scale hiring aligned with Hitachi’s focus on cloud, data, AI, and IoT-led transformation services.
Prior to joining Hitachi, Azhar held key HR leadership roles across the NTT Group, including stints at Virtela Technology Services and Dimension Data, where he drove region-specific hiring and talent operations across India for IT infrastructure and service delivery functions.
Earlier in his career, Azhar spent over five years with Alcatel-Lucent (now part of Nokia), managing recruitment efforts across technology and engineering domains. He also worked with IKYA Human Capital, Nokia Siemens Networks, Kelly Services, and TeamLease, building a strong foundation in volume hiring, sourcing strategy, and third-party staffing operations.
