London, England, United Kingdom, April 2025 – Gail Atkins has stepped into the role of Director of People at Pace, marking an exciting new chapter in her journey with the organization. In this expanded role, Gail will lead the delivery of strategic and operational People initiatives that create lasting value for Pace-Setters and customers, fostering a sustainable culture where employees thrive and deliver their best work.
Prior to this new role, Gail Atkins served as Head of People at Pace for nearly four years, where she was instrumental in setting up and leading the People function for the scale-up business. She successfully built core functions including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Employee Engagement, Employee Relations, and Reward, significantly strengthening the company’s people strategy.
Before joining Pace, Gail worked at Roc Technologies as a Recruitment Specialist, where she sourced exceptional talent across a wide range of industry sectors nationwide, contributing to the company’s growth and talent pipeline.
Earlier, she held the position of HR Manager at Neilson Financial Services, where she was responsible for HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and project-managed the successful implementation of a new payroll system (ADP), along with leading the relaunch of the company’s careers site and managing senior hires.
Gail also spent over eleven years with Hays, culminating in her role as Senior Business Manager for Hays Human Resources in the United Kingdom and previously holding senior roles in Sydney, Australia. During her time at Hays, she led HR and training recruitment across New South Wales, managing teams and placing senior executive HR positions.
