Washington, United States, May 2025 – Procore Technologies has announced the appointment of Marcus Baker as Director, People Analytics, where he will lead the company’s People Analytics team and drive data-informed decision-making across the talent function. In this role, Marcus will focus on scaling the analytics function to deliver predictive insights, workforce intelligence, and performance optimization solutions that support Procore’s dynamic and global workforce.
Marcus joins Procore after nearly three years as Director, Scalable People Analytics at Expedia Group, where he led initiatives around the People Analytics Data Platform, automated insight products, data governance, and operational HR analytics. His leadership helped advance the company’s analytics capabilities through strategic product development and big data integration to enhance workforce decisions.
Before Expedia, Marcus served as Head of People Analytics at Revvity, where he guided the company’s talent insights strategy, and earlier consulted as People Analytics Engineering Sr. Manager with ALKU. He also held roles at PTC, including Principal People Analyst and Senior People Analytics Analyst, contributing to the organization’s growth in HR data science and analytics maturity.
Earlier in his career, Marcus spent over three years at PerkinElmer, Inc. in progressive roles including Senior Workforce Business Intelligence Analyst and Workforce Analytics Consultant, where he played a key role in dashboard modernization, Workday optimization, workforce survey analysis, and predictive modeling. His foundation in people analytics was laid during a long-term graduate internship at PerkinElmer, where he contributed to SQL database development and workforce trend analysis.
Beyond corporate roles, Marcus also operated as an independent People Analytics Consultant for over five years, supporting clients across industries with data science, visualization, and HR systems integration. His early leadership development experience includes roles at Suffolk University, Beacon Hill Institute, and Jumpstart, where he gained grassroots experience in research, advocacy, and team management.
