Brussels, Brussels Region, Belgium, May 2025 – Dorothée Steenackers has taken on the role of Chief People Officer at CLIMACT, a leading sustainability consultancy focused on helping organizations and public authorities reach net-zero by 2050. In her new position, Dorothée will lead the company’s people strategy, drive organizational culture transformation, and shape future-focused HR initiatives to support CLIMACT’s mission.
Dorothée brings a wealth of experience in strategic HR leadership, having most recently served as Chief People Officer at dshr, where she provided fractional HR leadership to scale-ups and fast-moving teams across Europe. Her focus included people strategy design, organizational performance, and aligning HR practices with business profitability. Through her sharp, no-fluff approach, she helped growing companies operationalize talent strategies and implement AI-powered HR solutions.
Prior to that, Dorothée held the role of HR Director Belgium at Arval BNP Paribas Group, where she oversaw HR operations in a hybrid environment. She played a pivotal role in optimizing organizational design, performance management, and total rewards strategies, reinforcing HR’s role as a strategic partner to business leadership.
Previously, Dorothée was Head of People and Culture at Edgard & Cooper, where she led HR transformation initiatives in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) context. She helped foster an inclusive culture while aligning HR strategy with business growth across multiple geographies and teams.
Dorothée’s earlier career includes a notable 9-year tenure at Bain & Company, where she advanced to VP HR & Talent, leading a broad portfolio of HR operations, leadership development, and global mobility. Her experience also spans across Beiersdorf, PwC, and DLA Piper, where she honed her expertise in European employment law, talent development, succession planning, and multi-site HR leadership.
