Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, May 2025 – Emma Hayward has been appointed as Head of People at W Cosmetics, marking a pivotal leadership addition as the company continues to scale its operations in the global beauty market. Based in Sydney, Emma will lead the organization’s people strategy with a focus on organizational change, talent development, stakeholder engagement, and employee experience.
Emma brings more than two decades of experience across HR consulting, business transformation, learning and development, and change leadership. Her expertise will play a crucial role in aligning people practices with W Cosmetics’ vision of being a dynamic, inclusive, and innovation-driven retail brand in the beauty industry.
Before joining W Cosmetics, Emma Hayward served as Change Delivery Lead at Ausgrid for approximately one year, where she was instrumental in delivering enterprise-wide change initiatives. Her work spanned business transformation, stakeholder consultation, and workplace relations, helping the utility navigate complex shifts in systems and processes.
Previously, she spent over 15 years at The Consulting Space, where she held dual roles as Director and Principal Consultant. During this period, she led major change management and L&D programs across the public and private sectors, including projects for the Fair Work Ombudsman. Her work involved bespoke training design, strategic HR advisory, and creative people solutions—earning her a strong reputation for unlocking workforce potential and driving transformation.
Earlier in her career, she held the role of Change Lead for the Network Maintenance Depot Consolidation Project at Sydney Trains, where she guided the consolidation of 127 depots into 12 regional bases. She also worked as a Consultant Psychologist, applying her background in psychology to manage organizational stress and change. Her formative years included leadership roles at Break Thru Employment Solutions, Westpac, and other consulting roles where she built capabilities in team leadership, social inclusion, and employee development.
