United Kingdom, June 2025 – Kelly Clapperton has joined Darwin Escapes as the new Director of People and Culture. In this role, she will be responsible for leading the company’s HR and people strategy across its network of 22 luxury holiday parks and resorts in the UK, focusing on culture-building, talent development, employee engagement, and operational excellence.
Prior to joining Darwin Escapes, Kelly Clapperton served as Group Head of HR Europe at LGH Group, where she led HR operations across nine legal entities in the UK and Europe. Her responsibilities spanned strategic HR leadership, board collaboration, team management, talent acquisition, compliance, and organisational transformation. She reported directly to the CEO and contributed actively to board-level decision-making.
Before LGH Group, Kelly held the role of Head of HR at LullaBellz, a rapidly scaling hair and beauty e-commerce firm. She played a pivotal role in shaping people strategy to support international expansion, introduced company-wide performance frameworks, modernised HR systems, and successfully led multiple employee experience initiatives.
She also brings distinguished experience from her tenure as Human Resources Manager to the Household of The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, where she led HR operations during a time of transition following His Majesty’s accession. Her earlier roles included senior HR advisory positions at Assystem, Quaker Houghton, HSS Hire, and a notable service tenure in the British Army lasting over seven years.
